The Rob Pursley Scholarship Fund
To honor Rob’s memory and competitive spirit, an annual basketball tournament for charity was created. The 2023 tournament took place on Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, 4433 Cooper Road, Blue Ash, OH 45242. Games were held between 12 and 4 p.m. on both days.
Proceeds from the tournament benefited the Rob Pursley Foundation. Scholarships are awarded to Sycamore High School graduates who, while not receiving college athletic scholarships, are hopeful to walk-on to their college teams. Recipients demonstrated the love of their sport and played with the passion and dedication demonstrated by Rob. Scholarships will be awarded February 6, 2024 at 6:30 pm at the Sycamore High School during the varsity basketball game.

Winners of the first Rob Pursley Memorial League were the Old-timers, which was the last team Rob played on with his father Dan.

The tournament has benefited 59 student athletes, the non-profit organization Parents of Murdered Children as well as Crime Stoppers.
